・～をあまり深く考えない：put much thought into ～

・～するところがある：have a tendency to do ～

He has a habit of working without paying much attention to it.

This was a very well written and it only needed a few minor changes to make it sound more natural.

I have replaced the phrase ‘habit of working’ with ‘tendency to work’. A ‘habit’ is something that you do often and regularly, sometimes without knowing that you are doing it. We don’t usually use it to describe the manner of working by an individual. In this context, we can use ‘tendency’ instead, which is more commonly used to describe mannerisms at work. By replacing ‘habit’, we also need to replace the phrase ‘of working’ with ‘to work’.
I have replaced the clause ‘paying much attention to it’ with ‘putting much thought into it’. You can actually use either of these clauses in the latter part of your sentence as they both suggest that the person you are writing either doesn’t really care about their work, or they are so good at their job that they don’t need to put too much thought or pay any attention to it. Both these clauses will work in both scenarios.
