僕の英作文
He took me to a place whose room lights were very bright, servants were very polite, and dishes were certainly five times as valuable as their actual prices.
ネイティブからのアドバイス
・”whose” is basically correct, but it is a little confusing to see “whose” applied to “room lights, waiters, dishes” when each phrase is quite long.
・”servants” is used to refer to people literally employed as menial labor to wait on others full-time (by royal families or the nobility, etc.). It is quite rare to see this word used in a modern context. In a restaurant, you want to use “waiters,” “waitresses,” or if you prefer a gender-neutral term, “waitstaff.”
・”valuable” in terms of money usually refers to something like gold or antiques with a high monetary value; we would not say that food is valuable in this sense. If you want to say that the food was extremely cheap for how good it was, you can write something like “the dishes were worth five times their actual prices.”
