“Seemed” makes it clear that this is your perception—it’s unnecessary to also write “to me,” though not incorrect.
- Both “rare” and “unique” have such similar meanings that they are interchangeable here.
Something which is “unique” could technically be the only one of its kind.
Something which is “rare” is just unusual, special, or not usually seen, but not necessarily the only one.
