ネイティブからのアドバイス
This is a well-written sentence!
One person is telling another person which way to go. The person giving directions is using the future tense in order to inform the person receiving the directions about something that they “will” discover on the path or road. It would be perfectly acceptable to use the present tense also. The present tense would indicate that the fork in the road “is” there permanently.
You can also write the sentence like this: “You will see a fork in the road that leads down, but don’t go that way.” The phrase “a fork in the road” means the path or road branches off into two separate paths or roads. By using “you” and directly addressing the other party, “will” is perfectly natural. The other person “will” encounter a fork in the road.

なるほどな!
